My Favorite Things Back Home

I like to go back and visit Pearcy quite often to see my family and Jake and my sweet doggos. Here is a collection of photos that give you a glimpse of what I'm all about!

This is my dad's horse, Cinna. She is the sweetest old horse there ever was. She used to be an all-around horse, but my dad mainly had her trained to run barrels! Now, she's a baby momma, so fingers crossed for a colt in the spring! I really love her amber colored eyes, so I wanted to capture that. In the auto photo, it was a little blurry and did not focus on the eye, so that was user error. I adjusted my focus, decreased the shutter speed and increased the iso.

Automatic Settings
f/5.6, 1/640 s, iso 400
Manual Settings
f/5.6, 1/1000 s, iso 1600

This is my sweet girl, Dottie. She's also one of the oldest animals on our farm. She was jumping up and down, so I had to increase my shutter speed, so I had to increase the ISO as well. In editing, I added some clarity and texture to the photo.

Automatic Settings
f/5.6, 1/80 s, iso 100
Manual Settings
f/5.6, 1/1000 s, iso 1600

One year, we put up the flag for the 4th of July and decided to just never take it down. I increased the shutter speed to capture the movement, so I had to increase the shutter speed.

Automatic Settings
f/5.6, 1/160 s, iso 800
Manual Settings
f/5.6, 1/200 s, iso 1600

This is my sweet girl, Missy. My dog has a very short attention span, so I had to increase the shutter speed for sure. The automatic settings added the flash, and I didn't like the way that looked, so I increased the ISO. In editing, I increased the clarity and texture.
